This year marks 75 years of Porsche Motorsport. The milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on successes of the past, recalling landmark victories around the world while also celebrating everything that is great about today’s motorsport landscape – and what is to come in the future. For Porsche Cars Great Britain, it is also a significant time, as it commemorates 75 years of sales in the UK, making 2026 a busy year on both road and track. Porsche continues with its established motorsport activities in Great Britain this year, welcoming Carwow, one of the UK’s leading online destinations for car changing, as official title partner of its championships. The partnership celebrates the passion, competition and community that define Porsche one-make racing.

The 2026 Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB and Sprint Challenge GB line-ups came together at Donington Park for a pre-season warm-up, led here by the Team Parker Racing trio of Jack Sherwood (son of five-time Carrera Cup title-winner Justin), Will Jenkins and Archie Clark.Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB, the fastest single-marque GT racing series in the UK, and Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB, the GT championship for the Porsche mid-engined coupé, began in April with a busy calendar running through to October. The championships continue to appear in support of the British Touring Car Championship, with free-to-air terrestrial TV coverage broadcast by ITV and online around the world. The action returns to familiar circuits across the country, including Thruxton in Hampshire (the UK’s fastest track), Donington Park in Leicestershire, Croft in North Yorkshire, Silverstone in Northamptonshire and Brands Hatch in Kent. On four occasions both championships will unite on the same roster, creating a bumper weekend of Porsche racing.

The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup's cockpit is dominated by a carbon-fibre steering wheel with 14 buttons (12 on the front, two on the back) allowing the driver to control everything from the pit lane speed to a helmet water dispenser.In an evolution of its format, the 24th consecutive season of Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB sees drivers racing mechanically identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in three categories, Professional, Professional-Amateur and Masters – classified depending on experience and skill level. Some 16 races take place across eight weekends. A mix of returning drivers and intriguing newcomers is led by Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB 2026/ 2027 Junior Callum Voisin (driving for Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport). Underlining the importance of the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid, which provides a pathway for ambitious racers to succeed, three drivers progress from Sprint Challenge GB: Jacob Tofts, Oliver Meadows and Jonathan Moore.
Rapid ascent:
After winning the Clubsport Pro category title in the 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, Jonathan Moore steps up to the 2026 Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB, driving for JTR.To provide as much on-track action as possible, the Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB race format has been altered slightly. At events where the championship appears alongside the Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB, the familiar qualifying and reverse-grid format remains. On stand-alone race weekends, the Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB reverse-grid format is replaced with a new split qualifying format, featuring two 15-minute qualifying sessions. The result of Qualifying One determines the starting grid for Race One, while Qualifying Two will decide the starting grid for Race Two. Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB, now in its seventh season, will celebrate its 100th race at Knockhill, Scotland, this summer – part of an 18-race calendar across six weekends. The championship continues with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, racing alongside the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport. Drivers in the GT4 RS Clubsport compete in the RS Professional or RS Amateur categories, joined by GT4 Clubsport racers in a single Clubsport category. The grid includes several talented returnees and new names. 2025 vice-champion Joe Marshall (Team Parker Racing) from Cheshire is back, while Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB 2026/2027 Junior Shootout finalist, Samuel Harvey (Xentek Motorsport) from Sutton Coldfield, also returns – both with championship glory in their sights. And keep an eye on Joshua Rogers (Team Parker Racing), part of the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing team, as he makes the transition from the virtual racing world.
