Driving passion
Golfer and influencer Mia Baker is redefining the sport with her passion for inclusivity and innovation, and her Porsche Taycan 4S is the perfect companion when away from the course.
Mia Baker only began playing golf in 2020, but since then she’s transformed not only her life but the way the game is perceived. ‘When I started, I struggled to find golf clothing and shoes designed for women,’ she recalls. ‘It was the first time I’d experienced a physical barrier to starting a sport.’ That obstacle became her catalyst. Today, Mia is a driving force in making golf more accessible and inclusive, particularly for women, with her content and her work in developing golf apparel.
Her journey unfolded online, where she began sharing her experiences as a total beginner. ‘Social media felt like the perfect platform to introduce more young people and women to golf,’ she explains. ‘It’s helped me connect with others, explore the golf fashion space, and even branch out into other sports like Formula 1 and tennis.’ Her mission is clear: to redefine the face of golf for the next generation.
Away from the course, Mia’s passion for innovation is reflected in her choice of car: the Porsche Taycan 4S. Mia treated herself to this black beauty for her 30th birthday. ‘I love the way it drives,’ she beams. ‘It’s smooth, quiet, and feels like I’m gliding – often driving is my therapy!’ With its red calipers and spacious boot – perfect for her golf bag – it’s both stylish and practical. ‘Plus, it gets me a few hours north to see my family without needing a charge, which is a game-changer.’
As her golfing career blossoms, Mia remains determined to inspire and empower. ‘The sport needs more women behind the scenes,’ she says. ‘That’s how we’ll see real change.’ Whether on the fairway or behind the wheel, Mia Baker is proof that passion, purpose and precision can drive extraordinary success.
