911 Love: Patrick Roberts

Star violinist Patrick Roberts tours the world with his violin. For his eighth studio album, the Australian recently performed on stage with Sting – in front of an audience of 18,000.

Whether in a concert hall or the recording studio, Patrick Roberts creates masterpieces with his violin. The Australian picked up a violin for the first time at the age of five and made his debut on stage at eleven. At the age of 18, he began his studies at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and made his first appearance on Australian TV. The 43-year-old, who is well known for his interpretations of contemporary music, recently signed a multi-album record deal with Universal Music. He has released a total of eight studio albums so far and made it to number one on the Australian mainstream charts on three occasions, which is quite an achievement for a violinist. Patrick has performed shows in China, Japan, USA, and Europe. To celebrate his latest number-one album, Fragile, featuring Sting and Australian musician Tommy Emmanuel, he played live on stage with Sting at Château de Chambord in France – and thrilled 18,000 spectators with his performance.
