Cuvée Taycan

To mark the world premiere of the Taycan, the Villa Cordevigo wine estate in Calmasino, Italy, and Alexander Baron von Essen LLC have created a special red wine. The Corvina Veronese grapes for this cuvée were cultivated in the heart of the Bardolino region in the superb year of 2018 and ripened to maturity for the launch of Porsche’s first electric sports car in 2019. Its bouquet features ripe dark fruits, a hint of balsamic, and traces of vanilla and cocoa. It can be ordered throughout Europe from the online shop of Alexander Baron von Essen LLC at cuvee-taycan.com. Buyers outside Europe can inquire about delivery on the website. Cuvée Taycan comes in boxes of six 750 mL bottles or in 1.5-liter magnums. It’s also sold at the Porsche Museum shop and served in Porsche’s own Christophorus restaurant in Zuffenhausen.

World premiere on three continents

The world premiere of the Taycan marks the first time that Porsche has unveiled a new vehicle on three continents simultaneously. The all-electric sports car was presented to the public in Germany, China, and Canada. Porsche brand ambassador Mark Webber hosted the first appearance of the car from Berlin.

Mission E in movie theaters

The first animated movie from Playmobil—featuring a white Porsche Mission E—hit international movie theaters this summer. Director Lino DiSalvo wanted not only “a really cool car but also a sustainable one” for secret agent Rex Dasher. That’s the perfect role for the concept study of Porsche’s first fully electric sports car. And as would be expected from an agent’s car, the Mission E is equipped with many secret functions and electronic defense mechanisms. Dasher’s voice is spoken by actor Daniel Radcliffe in the original English version. Dasher supports the main character, Marla, in searching for her little brother, who mysteriously vanished in the Playmobil universe.

To enable precise visualization of all of the car’s details, Porsche provided the Mission E’s complete computer-generated image data to DiSalvo and his team. “As a Porsche fan, having this car in my film was a dream come true,” said the director, who spent seventeen years with Walt Disney Animation Studios. Porsche worked together intensively with Playmobil for eighteen months on the project. The two brands have collaborated since 2014. Several Porsche models are available from Playmobil and now Rex Dasher’s Mission E with electric remote control too.
